Senior Research Fellow (Senior Researcher)
The Senior Research Fellow will work closely with the Program Lead and Research Stream Leads on research, policy analysis, and the development of a macroeconomic framework that integrates climate risks and opportunities, while facilitating Indonesia’s transition towards net-zero emissions. The position also offers the opportunity of a joint appointment with the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIII, as visiting assistant professor or lecturer.
Responsibilities
- Manage research projects, including planning, coordination and reporting.
- Conduct research and write up the results as papers, reports and policy briefs.
- Liaise with government institutions and other stakeholders.
- Take on teaching responsibilities (for PhD holders).
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Economics, Public Policy or Development Studies, preferably with a specialisation in environmental or development economics.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience for Master’s degree holders, or at least 2 years for PhD holders.
- Experience in managing and carrying out research.
- Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in Stata, R or Python.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
